Trekking though the highlands is a very rewarding experience, specially if it ends somewhere enigmatic such as the once lost city of Machu Picchu.  Imagine getting the chance to trek through the andean wilderness for 4 days while also sleeping in a tent under the highland star studded night, some of the sights you will see are unlike anything else in the world.  On your way to Machu Picchu during your Peru tours you will hike and be able to see glaciers, beautiful other planet looking landscapes and see flora and fauna that are unique to only this region of the world.  You will start your journey in Cusco and should spend at leat 1 or 2 days in this city while your body becomes more used to the high elevation of this region, you do not want to feel sick while on a hike so getting you body ready is very important. After your hike you will reach the inca citadel and get the chance to see the sun rising over the beautiful Andes.
